Savosolar Plc Appoints New CEO to Replace Departing Chief Executive

Savosolar Plc’s CEO, Jari Varjotie, will be stepping down from his position on May 11, 2023. The company’s Board of Directors has appointed Kirsi Suopelto, the current chairman and VP of Strategy, as the new CEO, effective from the same date.

The Board of Directors expressed their gratitude to Jari Varjotie for his dedicated leadership over the past 12 years and for successfully restructuring the company to facilitate growth and create value for shareholders.

Varjotie stated that he believes it is the right time for him to step down and pass on the responsibility of CEO to Suopelto, who has extensive experience in the financial industry and has been involved in preparing the merger of Savosolar and Meriaura Ltd.

According to Jussi Mälkiä, the chairman of Meriaura Invest Ltd, Savosolar’s main owner, Suopelto’s close collaboration with Meriaura and experience in the new entity provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations and an excellent foundation to further develop the corporation as a pioneer in green energy.
