Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube, Steps Down from Role.
Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of YouTube, has announced her resignation from her position in a blog post. Neal Mohan, the head of products at YouTube, will replace her. Wojcicki said she would be leaving to focus on her family, health, and personal projects. Interestingly, Wojcicki deliberately worked to create a team that could continue without her, making Mohan’s appointment a predictable succession. Despite the challenges that Google currently faces, including a lawsuit from the Department of Justice and competition from Microsoft, Wojcicki remains optimistic and encourages businesses to have a “healthy disregard for the impossible” regarding innovation.
